Best Swedish Krona Sports Betting

There are some excellent sportsbooks on the market today that I would never recommend to you as a Swedish sports bettor simply because they fail to offer Swedish Krona betting accounts.  While these companies might otherwise be a great place to bet, this is such an important issue to highlight because there are several top quality sites that do offer you the SEK for direct wagering.

Why is this such and important issue?  Quite simply, it saves you a lot of money on currency exchange fees.  Otherwise you’d need to exchange your currency with your banking method of choice or potentially the sportsbook itself every time you deposit or withdraw funds from your account.  With every transaction, you would lose approximately three to five per cent of the value of the amount transferred.

Unfortunately, you won’t see how much you pay in fees.  You will see your exchange rate.  However, your rate has been marked up from the day’s best rate used by the exchange house.  Currency exchange is actually how a lot of sportsbooks make money.  Thus, when a sportsbook makes the investment to offer SEK accounts and eliminates their opportunity to make money on your exchange fees, you know they really value you as a customer.

How the list was constructed

It is as important to understand what this site is, and what it is not.  Many sports betting review sites are built simply to present you with the brands you likely know best with logos and banners.  Next to these logos you will likely see a 5-star rating or a very high grade with no actual reason or justification for this assessment.

As you can see from my list, several of the biggest names in the Swedish market are not listed.  Unlike other sites, I’m not interested in simply trading on a brand that you know.  I want you to play with the sportsbooks that I truly believe to be best for the Swedish bettor.

My list only includes sites that have satisfied the following criteria:

I’ve researched over 30 of the World’s top sportsbook companies from the perspectives of dozens of different national markets including the Swedish perspective.  If I’m not satisfied that any of these criteria  are sufficiently met, the reviewed sportsbook is not included in my list.

I’m not here to list every sportsbook, tell you what is wrong with them, and then hope to trade on their brand and logo because they advertised a lot in Sweden and you know their name.

I’m here to show you the best companies with which you may bet from Sweden.  My list is in alphabetical order with no preference.  They all provide an excellent experience, but have their differences.  Please read and enjoy responsibly.

Example of why you should only bet with Swedish Krona Sportsbooks

Let’s assume you are just getting started betting online and you are making your first deposit, but have chosen a sportsbook that does NOT offer SEK accounts.  You consider yourself a fairly active bettor making several bets every week, so you want to deposit 10,000 Kronor.  Since the site you chose does not accept the Krona directly, you’ll actually need to purchase a supported currency.  The most popular currencies include the Euro, Pound and US Dollar.

Let’s assume your sportsbook currency balance will be the Euro.  The day’s best rate will be a long trailing number that will look something like 1.00 SEK = 0.109889 EUR.  So if you were actually trading in large amounts on the World market, your 10,000 Kronor would be worth 1,098 Euros.  However, the rate you will be given will essentially be a retail exchange rate that will build in a fee anywhere from 2.5% to 5% of the transacted amount.

So in this example, if the exchange-house was going to charge a 4% fee, the actual exchange rate you’d be given would be 1.00 SEK = 0.105503 which would yield about 1,055 Euros.  So, just to get started betting, with no actual value received, you will have paid over 40 Euros.  Then understand that this manner of loss will occur every time you deposit or withdraw funds. Quite simply, there is no need to waste this money.  Even if you are extremely wealthy, no one likes to give their cash away unnecessarily, especially when no real value has been achieved.

The sportsbooks listed above all value the Swedish betting market sufficiently to offer Swedish Kronor accounts and support complementary banking methods that also deal in the Kronor, ensuring that you may enjoy your money as you see fit.
